Why are we no longer using the traditional second skin?
We have noticed over the years that many people have allergic reactions to different brands of second skin. They have experienced a rash, skin irritation and other signs of allergic reaction, that in some cases causes light scarring. Although some artists have found success in different brands, we have decided to use a more natural product with our aftercare.
What is the proper application process?
Let your new tattoo rest for about 5 - 10 minutes before application. This will allow your tattoo to naturally clot and stop weeping, it creates a clean dry surface for the gel.
Where does the blood and plasma go?
Normal amounts of fluids that form will seep into the gel barrier.

How long do I leave it on?
We recommend 2 - 24 hours. Typically, you apply it and leave it on overnight, then wash it off the next day in the shower, reapply as needed for 3 - 4 days.
If I don’t wash or peel off, how long will it stay on my skin?
Depending on your skin type, whether it’s dry, oily, or combination, it can stay on for a couple days and will naturally peel off on its own.
Does it contain latex or adhesives?
It’s latex and adhesive free.
Is it Vegan friendly?
YES.
How durable is it and how long does it last?
Depending on your skin type, in most cases the gel will stay on for 24 hours and will just fray around the edges at the time of removal.
How many times should I apply it?
Apply once a day for 3 - 4 days. Keep it dry at all times, if it gets wet you must re-apply.
Can it cause adverse skin reactions?
Adverse skin reactions are less likely to happen as our ingredients are in full view and it is packed with only natural organic healing ingredients. With using our Headrush Healing Gel, you know exactly what you are applying to your skin. In fact, since our release with many products sold and used daily in our studio, we have not had one adverse reaction reported.
Should I peel or wash it off?
As much fun as peeling it off, we highly recommend you wash it off with warm water.
