How It Works: Laser Hair Removal works by targeting the melanin or darker pigment in the hair follicles. The melanin absorbs the light, which destroys the follicle, and halts future hair growth. Because hair grows in cycles, only the hair in the current cycle of growth will be destroyed. Therefore, 4-8 treatments are sometimes needed, in order to target and destroy all your hair follicles during all the different cycles of growth. Sessions are anywhere from 4-8 weeks apart in order to capture the hairs during the active growth phase.
